We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with strong expertise in general ledger accounting, month-end closing processes, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, the timely preparation of statutory accounts, and full adherence to IFRS and Italian GAAP. Fluency in both Italian and English is essential.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting

Oversee the correct accounting treatment of all transactions in line with IFRS and Italian GAAP.
Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank accounts, balance sheet items, and general ledger controls.
Review journal entries, subledgers, and trial balances.
Ensure accurate accruals, deferrals, and proper allocation of costs and revenues.
Supervise the issuance of sales invoices and the posting of purchase invoices, provisions, and adjustments.
Month-End and Year-End Close

Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and reports.
Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements under Italian GAAP.
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers and related entries.
Compliance and Audit

Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
Prepare documentation and support for external audits and regulatory inspections.
Apply and monitor internal controls in line with SOX requirements.
Coordinate local filings and regulatory reporting as applicable.
Documentation and Process Management

Draft and maintain the accounting procedures manual for the assigned client portfolio.
Review and improve internal accounting procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Supervise and support junior staff to ensure accurate execution of accounting tasks.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in international or multi-client environments.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Italian GAAP.
Experience managing statutory accounts and audit processes.
Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
