As Material Strategy Planner, you will act as a strategic partner across Planning, Fulfillment, and S&OP teams, with a primary focus on developing and maintaining repair component material strategies . Your work will directly support the availability, accuracy, and responsiveness of our repair material planning processes by ensuring accurate stocking logic and well-aligned demand signals across the supply chain.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Planning , Fulfillment and S&OP to define the repair component material strategies in line with event-based logic , ensuring stocking rules reflect operational needs
Analyze shop event forecasts and assess alignment between repair component forecasts and historical demand trend, identifying and addressing gaps or inconsistencies.
Translate repair component forecasts into accurate material-level requirements by applying planning BOM structures and validated scrap rates.
Monitor material forecast accuracy and ensure that reorder points are appropriately set and adjusted in response to volume trends, lead times, and consumption variability.
Partner with key suppliers and the Product Leadership team to validate and refine BOM content and scrap assumptions, ensuring material definitions reflect current repair scopes and operational practices.
Collaborate closely with the S&OP team to review and challenge New-Make material forecasts, contributing to a reliable and aligned end-to-end planning process.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline, OR equivalent knowledge and experience.
Proven experience in material planning, supply chain strategy, or integrated business planning, ideally within a repair, aerospace, or high-complexity manufacturing environment.
Solid knowledge of ERP and advanced planning systems; hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Planning is strongly preferred.
Eligibility Requirements:
If contracted in Italy: EU work permit and fluency in English and/or Italian.
If hired in the United States: Legal authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
Desired Characteristics:
Proven experience in material planning or supply chain operations, ideally within a repair or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) context.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to planning and performance management.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced use of Excel; familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
Ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and drive accountability with external partners.
Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; experience working in global or matrixed teams is an advantage
