Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our team in Italy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the country’s financial profitability, closely controlling local expenses, and providing critical financial support to the local management team. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in enabling effective decision-making while ensuring the achievement of financial objectives.
As part of the Iberia & Italy Cluster Finance team, he/she will be key part of the collaboration aiming to develop a common robust best-practice set of financial processes involving all countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Profitability Management:
- Monitor and analyze the overall financial performance of the Italian subsidiary.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
- Expense Control:
- Oversee and rigorously control local operating expenses, in particular customer promotional budgets, A&P and SG&A.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and local regulations regarding expenses.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Present insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and deviations in budgets.
- Decision Support:
- Collaborate with local management to provide financial insights and projections.
- Assist in strategic decision-making by preparing and presenting data-driven scenarios and reports.
- Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, corporate governance, and financial regulatory requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact for Financial Audits related to finances within the country.
- Continuously look for improvement and simplification, both within and outside of Finance Team
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in a multinational environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high proficiency in MS Office tools, in particular Excel.
- Willingness to take responsibility and ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data in a clear and actionable manner. Able to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with a large number of stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Fluency in Italian and English are required. Spanish is a plus.
