We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Electrical Firmware Engineer into our Product Development MPS team.
The position requires office presence in the Pescara office, it cannot be filled from a remote schedule.
Mobile Power Solution is a business unit within the Dometic Group, which focuses on the power electronic products and solutions in all type of vehicles. These include all steps from energy generation to providing the load. Main Product Groups are Solar, Batteries, inverters, chargers and system controls. The Electronic engineer plays an important role in Dometic’s overall strategy and is a crucial factor to reach the company’s short / medium term goals and make Dometic’s vision of “Mobile living made easy” a reality for customers. This role is responsible for technically develop products or part of products, in addition, to test and validate new products and to support PM team in creating BOR of new products
Main responsibilities: As Electronic engineer you will have deep knowledge of EMEA MPS product portfolio and will help to the product strategy together with major key stakeholders, such as PD, Sales, Marketing, etc. to ensure a profitable growth in their respective ownership of a certain product portfolio.
Your main responsibilities
- Design of digital, analogue and power electronics.
- Collaborate with designers and backend developers to translate user requirements into technical specifications and implement innovative solutions.
- Support all stages of development from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and other technical problems.
- Together with the marketing department Product Manager ensures a successful market launch and customer communication and event planning (e.g. trade fairs etc.), to make sure that the products are positioned and recognized as intended by the market.
- In his role the Electronic Engineer will continuously monitor competitors, related technology and markets trends In his role Electronic Engineer will continuously test products and support and facilitate their validation

A suitable background would be a solid experience the following in terms qualifications and experiences:
- Solid academic education in Engineering
- Experiences in HW and FW Electronic development on ARM 32bit microcontrollers and ESP32 devices.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout for electronic circuits (Kicad, Altium Designer, OrCad ecc…).
- Experience testing and validating PCBs.
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of power electronics and their topology and control schemes.
- Proficiency with circuit simulation tools.
- Proficiency with EE laboratory tools (oscilloscopes, power supplies, tester, iron soldering…).
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge in PCB layout design for high power circuits.
- Knowledge in power electronic circuit design including semiconductors selection, capacitors selection, inductors/transformers design, gate driver design and sensor circuits design.
- Embedded programming of microcontrollers STM32, Renesas, ESP32.
- Knowledge in control theory and sensor integration.
- Knowledge in automotive environmental, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Knowledge and familiarity with EMC automotive standards (UN ECE).
- Knowledge in automotive networking (e.g. CAN, LIN, RS232, RS485) standards.
- Knowledge in IoT standards and protocols (Wifi, BLE, Bluetooth).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Fluent in English to communicate with team members and report to project management.
- Experience in working with Microsoft O365 tools, PIM & ERP systems, Project Management Tools (e.g. Antura, Wrike)
