We are seeking a forward-thinking professional to join our team and help shape the future of technology in key domains such as automation, AI/ML, security, and energy efficiency. In this role, you will analyze market trends and customer needs to drive long-term strategic evolution. You will lead R&D innovation initiatives and take ownership of the long-term technology roadmap. A core part of your responsibilities will include conducting customer demos and workshops, supporting industry collaborations within standardization frameworks, and scouting opportunities for experimental research projects, including preparing and submitting funding applications. You will:
- Conduct studies and analyses on domains within scope.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams in the R&D organization to stimulate and incubate strategic ideas, with results demonstrated by prototyping and demos.
- Contribute to future trends analysis and scout new technologies.
- Support interactions with customers to understand their needs and assist in providing solutions.
Moreover, you will:
- Scout for potential partnering or funding opportunities (national and international) for innovative projects aligned with Nokia objectives.
- Prepare research project proposals, including the creation of project concepts, the definition of strategic objectives and use cases, and deliverables preparation.
- Attend industry forums in own domain and drive relevant contributions based on network/technology studies.
- Provide support to pre-sales by offering technical expertise in front of customers.
- Participate in weekly alignment calls with the enlarged team.
- Grow competence in microwave aspects over time.
- Contribute to dissemination and marketing activities on Nokia products and solutions.
You have:
- Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in telecommunications, preferably in radio access or transport domains (2-3 years).
- Knowledge of network transport technology, with a particular focus on the following domains: Network Management and automation, SDN, AI/ML, security.
- Passion for technology and eagerness to learn about industry advancements.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365).
- Good at communicating and advising business decision-makers.
- Experience in interfacing and making presentations to customers.
- Ability to prepare concise and insightful reports under time pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- An enthusiastic approach to learning and contributing to team goals.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Accountability and result-oriented, Strategic mindset.
- The ability and willingness to travel as per project requirements.
It is nice to have:
- Knowledge in radio access and transport technology.
- Previous experience as a Strategy Manager or Product Manager.
- Previous participation in telecom standards groups with relevant contributions.
- Previous experience in research projects involving third parties.
- Capability to build business cases and interpret financial data.
- Business acumen.
