Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
We want you, as a talented Senior Cybersecurity Governance Engineer, to help us in our mission by enabling the company to work securely and ensuring an effective IT security strategy.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Cybersecurity Governance Engineer, your role will be dynamic and evolving. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
Developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures to ensure compliance with internal requirements and external regulations (e.g. NIST, ISO27001. GDRP).
Coordinating and overseeing internal and third-party audits
Managing security risks and requirements across projects and products
Providing guidance and support with technical security solutions
Developing and implementing core security concepts across the organization
Collaboration with the export control team to maintain secure and compliant data handling
Developing and delivering security awareness training to promote a culture of cybersecurity accountability
What we would love to see from you
In the role of a Senior Cybersecurity Governance Engineer, ideally, you will have the following:
Experience in establishing security framework such as NIST CSF throughout the company
Experience in conducting security risk assessments and managing remediation plans
Expertise in cybersecurity architectures and design principles, including secure communications, segmentation and system hardening
Hands-on experience with implementing security controls
One of the two:
A bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or a related field
Five years of experience in the area of cybersecurity and governance
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
Experience with EntraID and cloud management would be a plus
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform would be a plus
