MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Shop Foreman to join our vehicle sustainment team in Vicenza, Italy. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations and maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
Troubleshoots issues that arise and notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
Provides formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training to contractor and unit personnel.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must obtain or already have an active Mission Visa and Soggiorno Permit to be considered.
Four (4) + years' experience and a BA/BS Degree. 6 years' experience accepted in lieu of a required BA/BS
Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
Proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
Must hold a current and active passport, ensuring a minimum of one year of validity from start date and the ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
High School Diploma or GED and must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
Experience on HMMWV, FMTV, HEMTT, PLS, Trailers, and Power Generation Equipment.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
Must be able to work in high noise areas.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
