Make a difference as Technician External Trials – Breeding Support
As a Technician External Trials, you’ll support our breeding efforts by managing crop trials and collecting essential data. Your work will help us determine the feasibility of new crop varieties.
• Plan trial activities such as sowing, transplanting and harvesting with the breeding team and external growers.
• Collect phenotypic data on plant and fruit traits, and report findings in a timely manner.
• Carry out sowing, planting and harvesting at external trial locations.
• Care for crops and ensure their health and quality throughout the trial period.
• Follow phytosanitary protocols to maintain trial integrity.
• Consult with breeders about crop development and data progress.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment.
• You may also lead, coach and motivate team members.
You’ll report to the Station Manager and work within one country, in an operational capacity.
What you bring as a future colleague
• Experience or interest in crop care and agricultural trials.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for reporting and consultation.
• Commitment to safety and protocol compliance.
• Willingness to work in outdoor environments.
• A proactive and hands-on attitude.
• Computer skills
• Proficient in the the local language, both written and verbal
• Basic knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal
