Microwave team part of MW&CSN Business Unit is providing Microwave transport solution within Nokia, reference product family is Wavence . Microwave is looking for a HW development engineer specialized in mechanical and thermal domain.
As a Hardware Engineer in Microwave R&D, you will contribute to product feature evolution and develop new hardware items to renew the product platform. HW is relevant part of Wavence product and majority of feature differentiator with respect to competition relies on HW specific implementation.
You will develop extensive knowledge of new telecommunications protocols and state of the art standards, microwave specificities, Nokia’s hardware platforms and the way customers are deploying them. You will contribute in developing innovative solutions exploiting advanced technologies to address the Nokia strategy in 5G / 6G domain and beyond.
- Requirement analysis and feasibility studies
- Define hardware architecture and select relevant technologies and components
- HW development and technical detailed design mainly focused on mechanical and thermal domain
- HW unit test/qualification and reporting
- HW project status reporting and tracking
- HW Configuration management
- Contribute to process improvement and innovation
You have:
- Profound theoretical knowledge of techniques and technologies related to electronic, mechanical, and thermal domains
- solid background in maths and physics as provided by engineering university courses
- knowledge of the structure of the metallic and plastic materials and superficial treatments
- knowledge of thermal modelling, simulations, analysis and testing of electronic equipment
- Knowledge of technics and tools of the technical and mechanic sketches.
- knowledge of the use of 3D computerized computer systems
- Basic knowledge of the technology of the production processes.
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Good teamwork skills
- Adaptability and accountability
- Effectively cooperating with people with different technical background and culture, dealing with diverse situations and viewpoints
- Eager to learn and expand own knowledge
