Overview
The Sales and Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and establishing a strong brand and market presence for our consultancy services in their designated territory. This multifaceted role combines sales planning, client relationship management, and creative marketing and sales and marketing campaigns to achieve our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and growth opportunities.
- Analyse data to support decision-making on services, outreach, and pricing strategies.
Coordination & Strategy Alignment
- Collaborate with UK Operations and Group Marketing to align efforts with business goals.
- Allocate marketing resources effectively and maintain regular strategic updates.
Marketing & Branding
- Support the creation of marketing strategies and materials (digital/traditional).
- Drive digital campaigns, event participation, and internal brand training.
- Monitor and optimize campaign performance.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers.
- Lead on proposals, negotiations, and deal closure.
- Develop retention and repeat business strategies.
Campaign Management
- Plan, implement, and monitor annual marketing and sales campaigns.
- Evaluate campaign effectiveness and refine strategies.
Client Segmentation & Targeting
- Segment markets and develop ideal client profiles.
- Research key clients and competitors to tailor outreach strategies.
Key Client Management
- Support key account management and client relationship strategies.
- Design tailored solutions, track performance, and identify upselling opportunities.
- Gather feedback, resolve issues, and seek referrals.
Client Relationship Management
- Nurture long-term client relationships and identify cross/upselling potential.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage the marketing budget with a focus on ROI.
Reporting & Accountability
- Provide regular performance updates to senior stakeholders and suggest improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B Sales and Marketing of engineering or consultancy services, preferably in energy, oil and gas or process industry.
- Strong understanding of the energy and chemicals industry, market dynamics, and client needs.
- Strong understanding of energy transition and the emerging/new technologies.
- Results driven.
- Strategic thinker.
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and strategies, including digital marketing and analytics.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
