Business Controlling Intern – Milan
Are you passionate about finance and eager to gain hands-on experience in business and industrial controlling? We are looking for a motivated Business Controlling Intern to join our BU FSA Controlling team in Milan. As a Business Controlling Intern, you will support both the Commercial and Industrial Controlling teams by providing valuable insights across various financial aspects, including sales analysis, budgeting, forecasting, stock management, and variable cost analysis. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with different functions, providing a comprehensive understanding of financial management in a global manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Controlling:
Assist in the preparation and analysis of sales reporting, including volume price/mix at both revenue and margin levels across different business lines.
Support planning activities (budgeting & forecasting), gathering inputs from different functions and countries.
Monitor and control costs related to the Commercial function (rebates, discounts, and other department costs).
Industrial Controlling:
Support in the analysis and monitoring of stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory management and reporting.
Assist in performing the analysis on the Weighted Average Cost (WAC) for products, ensuring accurate cost allocations.
Conduct variable cost analysis, focusing on production and distribution costs assisting in the analysis of monthly fluctuations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with BU FSA functions to support the deployment of the BU’s growth strategy.
Actively participate in strategic initiatives and projects that require analytical support, aimed at improving the accuracy and granularity of financial analysis.
Assist the Business Controller in the formulation of new models and processes for P&L analysis by country and business line.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Finance, Economics, Management Engineering, or a related field.
Previous Experience: Experience in financial analysis, controlling, or any related function is a plus but not required.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is a plus.
Familiarity with inventory management, stock analysis, and Weighted Average Cost (WAC) calculation is a bonus.
Understanding of variable cost analysis and cost control in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Business acumen and ability to understand and analyze data, trends, and financial information to assist decision-making.
Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.

Fluent in Italian and English.
