Job Summary:
We are seeking a (Senior) Analyst Compliance – Due Diligence & Screening (m/f/d) to join our team. This role will focus on conducting denied and restricted party screening and supporting due diligence reviews critical to identifying and assessing third-party risks and ensuring compliance with evolving international trade, sanctions, and anti-corruption regulations.
Location: Budapest / Törökbálint (Hungary) or Lainate (Italy) or Montecchio Maggiore (Italy)
Tasks
- Conduct daily screening of third-party customers, suppliers, and other partners against denied, restricted, and sanctioned party lists using provided web-based screening services and other resources as necessary.
- Perform risk-based due diligence reviews on high-risk third parties, including background checks, ownership structure assessments, and reputational risk analysis.
- Use third-party compliance tools and databases (e.g., Descartes, LexisNexis, World-Check, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance) to screen and monitor external parties.
- Evaluate and escalate potential matches or red flags identified during screening or due diligence processes.
- Document findings, assessments, and decisions to maintain clear audit trails and ensure transparency.
- Support onboarding of new third parties by completing required compliance checks prior to engagement.
- Liaise with Procurement, Sales, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Stay current on regulatory developments related to sanctions, export controls, anti-bribery, and anti-money laundering.
- Assist in reviewing and updating internal procedures, workflows, and policies related to screening and due diligence.
- Participate in internal audits, investigations, and compliance risk assessments as needed.
- Support broader compliance initiatives such as training, awareness, and automation projects.
Requirements
- Whether you have a degree in logistics, business administration, engineering or law or a comparable qualification - the decisive factor for us is your relevant professional experience in the field of screening and due diligence - ideally at least 2 years in a multinational or regulated industry.
- Familiarity with global sanctions regimes (e.g., UN, OFAC, BIS, EU, UK, CH) and anti-corruption laws (e.g., US-FCPA, UK Bribery Act). Experience with antiboycott regulations, AML and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Experience conducting due diligence reviews or working with compliance screening platforms.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments and time zones.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Travel around 15%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of global trade management platforms (e.g., SAP GTS, Screening Tools and Platforms such as Thompson Reuters, E2Open, OCR, MK Denial, etc.).
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
