Your Role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Desktop & Network Support Technician to join our IT team. As the Desktop & Network Support Technician you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure across our Florence and Rome offices. The ideal candidate is an eager-to-learn individual with a foundational understanding of IT desktop support and a strong desire to grow within the field. While primarily based in Florence, this position requires regular travel to our Rome office (1-2 days per week) to provide essential support and address any emerging IT needs. Additionally, you will provide remote IT support to other offices and colleagues across the EU, contributing to our wider IT ecosystem.
What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive desktop support to users in both Florence and Rome offices, ensuring a high level of user satisfaction
- Offer remote IT support to colleagues and offices across the EU, addressing technical queries and issues efficiently
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, software applications, and computer hardware
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for end-users, including printers and other peripherals
- Respond to IT support requests via ticketing system, email, phone, and in-person, prioritizing and escalating issues as needed
- Perform routine IT maintenance and system updates to ensure optimal performance and security
- Assist with user account management and access provisioning within our Microsoft environment
- Support users with Microsoft Office 365 applications and related services
- Document IT processes, solutions, and configurations for knowledge sharing and future reference
- Collaborate with the EU Infrastructure Manager and Senior Director, IT Operations (Phoenix, USA) on IT projects and initiatives
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in IT support
What Makes a Great Candidate:
- Proven experience in IT desktop support or a similar role (1-2 years) is sufficient. A professional technical qualification or vocational training in IT is preferred over a university degree.
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems.
- Experience with printer setup and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) are essential for effective communication within the team and with stakeholders across different EU locations.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, both locally and remotely.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Florence and Rome.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Intune.
- Familiarity with Manage Engine, Soho Antivirus, TEAMS phones, CANVAS, and Salesforce.
