The team you'll be part of
You will be joining a highly skilled R&D Software team within Nokia's Microwave Business Unit. We are a leader in delivering 5G microwave backhauling solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like O-RAN and vRAN (Open Radio Access Network and Virtualized Radio Access Network).
Our team is responsible for developing and integrating software for a range of microwave equipment, incorporating both network and radio boards.
We are part of a larger Mobile Networks Business Group that is a pioneer in wireless mobility networks, holding over 3,500 patent families essential for 5G.

As part of our Software Team you will:
- Be translating customer requirements into SW requirements and Use Cases that brings our product on the market.
- Be supporting integration test activities with the objective to improve overall software quality.
- Be part of a scrum cross functional team following Agile methodology.
- Learn about Ethernet/IP protocols and Nokia equipment portfolio.
- Be accountable for quality and accuracy of own output. errors may have limited impact on the function/project.
You have:
- A Bachelor's degree or an HTI Diploma in SW Engineering or equivalent
- No prior work experience required, but a strong foundation in software development principles and a demonstrated passion for software engineering are essential.
- Fluency in C/C++ implementation (embedded) on Linux, with particular focus to Secure Coding guidelines.
- Embedded SW development skills: multi-core processing, limited resources usage, remote debug capabilities.
Expected technical competencies:
- Basic Knowledge of Ethernet and IP and secured protocols.
- Knowledge on iterative and incremental process.
- Basic practice on the use of GIT as Configuration management.
- In general, a solid knowledge on tools and methodologies used to design, version, review, unit test, and troubleshoot the SW.
- Nice to have some knowledge on continuous integration tools (Jenkins).
Moreover, you are/have:
- A highly organized and detail-oriented individual who thrives in collaborative team environments, contributing effectively to shared goals.
- Possesses adaptability to changing priorities and takes ownership and accountability for simple assigned tasks.
- English communication skills are essential for collaboration within our global team.
- Aware that short-term travel may be required.
