We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst, Environmental Compliance in our Milan office.
Department Overview:
As an Analyst, Environmental Compliance, you will be responsible for supporting the company’s ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) programming with a particular focus on EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) environmental regulations. The Analyst will be based in Milan and will report to the brand’s Senior Manager, Environmental Compliance, sitting within the Capri Legal Compliance and ESG team.
This individual will be responsible for the Michael Kors brand’s day-to-day compliance with EPR regulations in EMEA, including all necessary measurements and reporting. Regulatory developments and evolving sustainability initiatives may expand the scope of the role’s responsibilities.

What You’ll Do:
- Monitor compliance with a series of EPR legislations, such as the Packaging and Packaging Waste, Batteries and WEEE Directive, and the upcoming Textiles Directive and other environmental legislation applicable to the business
- Engage with external environmental consultants and local EPR Schemes
- Ensure the timely submission of environmental declarations in partnership with internal stakeholders and environmental consultants
- Lead and support peer groups in the preparation of EPR prevention plans, as relevant/required,
- Respond promptly to and participate in annual and ad hoc third-party EPR audits
- Partner with the company’s tax department on plastic packaging tax regulations
- Lead the implementation and renewal of EPR contracts in coordination with the company’s legal department and other internal stakeholders
- Monitor program invoices, track environmental costs and expenses to ensure effective budget management, and prepare accruals, with regular report-outs to team leadership
- Maintain all data sets required for the EPR program
- Limited travel might be required
- Support other ESG programming and aid team members in various administrative needs
- Support and be part of ad-hoc working groups for the implementation of environmental legal requirements, as relevant/required
You’ll Need to Have:
- Degree or Diploma or equivalent qualification in Economics or Environmental Matters
- Strong computer skills with the ability to manage, process, and record data
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical approach for both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Aptitude for data analysis and processing, with dedication and attention to detail
- Understanding of relevant EPR environmental regulatory standards and the process of implementation
- Previous work/practical experience conducting environmental audits and inspections is preferred
- Knowledge of internationally recognized standards (e.g. ISO14001) is preferred
