Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The role’s main objective will be the governance of Intuitive’s engagements with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organizations (HCOs), and the associated transparency reporting activities in Europe. Establish the new Healthcare Compliance and Transparency function through the administration of these processes and acting as an ambassador for improvement and change.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support and back-up Associate Manager HCP Compliance
- Help onboard new team members and train on day-to-day activities
- Project lead for Italy, Spain and Portugal
- Ensure that engagements with HCPs and HCOs comply with local regulation and laws through the administration of internal and external processes (authorization from institutions, competent authorities, transparency)
- Interact with appropriate stakeholders (sales, Marketing, Training departments) to ensure quality of events and data captured within required Compliance Platform
- Ensure that high quality, accurate and complete data is reported to competent authorities on time
- Help ensure local and regional compliance with applicable transparency laws, regulations and Codes of Practice
- Monitor changes within local and regional transparency laws and local authorities reporting system and help implement changes when needed
- Help foster the organizations’ understanding of healthcare regulations and policies around interactions with HCPs and HCOs
- Provide training and refresher training wherever required
- Act for change as we harmonize and improve existing processes and systems
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience, post-graduate degree is a plus
- 7-10+ years of experience in the in the medical device/pharmaceutical industry
- Experience with Italian, Spanish and Portuguese healthcare compliance / Life Science laws
- Ideally experience with Italian ASL
- A good understanding of Medtech Europe regulations and national codes/laws, in particular for the targeted countries (Confindustria Dispositivi Medici, FENIN, APORMED).
- Fluent in English and Italian, Spanish and/or Portuguese is a real plus.
- The ability to work transversally across cultures, business units, support functions and countries
- Ability to manage projects and take initiative in areas where there are gaps to fill or new projects to develop
- Ability to support, coordinate and deliver training
- Self-starter who can work with little supervision
- Logical, curious, accurate, analytical and excellent knowledge of IT tools
