Medical Information ensures the quality and integrity of responses provided to health care professionals, patients and other relevant customer groups and provide concise, accurate, and non-promotional data in a timely manner, and ensures clients have essential information that is clearly understandable for using the company’s products safely and effectively.
Main responsibilities:
MIS (Medical Information Specialist) is responsible for writing and reviewing of medical information content for global and non-global products under the direction of the Medical Information Cluster Lead. This encompasses the provision of standard content for the global & non-global products as well as the creation of customized responses. It also includes providing customers with this information through the appropriate channels (e.g. email, phone, web); The position is responsible for provision of these Medical Information activities on a country and cluster level.
MIS is responsible to assess and summarize published medical and scientific literature, ensuring complete and balanced medical information responses which conforms to all relevant legal requirements, Codes of Practice and company guidelines and policies; MIS is also responsible to identify adverse events/quality complaints related to any medical information inquiry. MIS assesses customer needs and provides effective solutions through regular analysis of data and information reported for his/her area of responsibility.
MIS is responsible for execution of processes and cross functional projects in collaboration and alignment with internal and external stakeholders on local, regional or global level; This is achieved through a combination of product knowledge and intra-departmental relations, along with editing, writing, database and file management proficiency.
Product knowledge of the portfolio and proficient English skills (verbal & written) serve as a prerequisite; In any case, excellent communications skills and a robust understanding of customers’ needs are required. If needed the position will support training of support function staff and outsourced partner(s).
About you
Experience: Post-graduation experience and experience in Medical Information department preferred
Soft skills: Interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills required
Technical skills: Knowledge and skills as a medical writer, literature evaluation, customer focus, ability to work independently, ability to work in teams
Education: Bachelor’s degree (bioscience/biology or pharmacy/medical qualification)
Languages: Proficient English skills (verbal & written) required
