💻THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Legal Counsel with a strong background in contract law and privacy compliance to join our Legal team. In this role, you’ll contribute to building a scalable, business-friendly legal framework that supports our fast-paced environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, supporting daily operations and strategic initiatives across the business.
This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives in dynamic contexts and enjoys combining legal expertise with a pragmatic approach to risk and compliance.
You will be responsible for:
- Contract Management and Negotiation: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including service, vendor, partnership, and client agreements.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Monitoring of regulatory developments related to the company's business.
- Data Protection and Privacy Compliance: Providing business-focused legal advice on data protection and privacy, ensuring GDPR compliance, and supporting the DPO with assessments and documentation.
- Legal Risk Advisory and Stakeholder Support: Partnering with internal stakeholders to assess legal risks, give legal advice and support decision-making.
- Policy and Process Improvement: Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of internal policies, contract templates, and compliance processes.
- Legal and Compliance Training Support: Supporting internal training initiatives to raise awareness around contractual and privacy-related topics.
- Collaboration with External Counsel: Working closely with external legal counsels when required.
⚙️YOU WILL BE THE PERFECT FIT IF YOU HAVE:
- You are a qualified lawyer in Italy with a strong background in reputable law firms with at least 4/5 years of overall experience across (preferably) both private practice and in-house roles.
- Proven expertise in contract law and privacy compliance.
- A pragmatic mindset with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Excellent English and Italian communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities with autonomy and effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
