What you will be doing:
Your challenge is to capture operational disruptions and organize corrective actions which you will monitor in terms of progress. As such you will communicate with the various depots/Hubs and other departments within FedEx for example Fleet, IT support, Security and Health & Safety. Thus to ensure that the mitigation actions pay-off and a solid service level is maintained.
There is a huge opportunity to shape the way of working and introduce new methods and procedures together with your colleagues. This means that you be will actively engaged in exploring whether current, new processes and working methods can be created or adapted with a 'Lean' mindset. More specifically, main tasks performed by the role :
- Timely Incident and network disruption reporting and compliance
- Deviations & disruptions of road movements
- Discipline and compliance in company tools utilization
- GPS: support subco-onboarding, support to overcome system & tracking issues, pro-active use to
- State-of the network: modernize daily reporting to a real-time use of existing source systems
- Linehaul reporting: ensure future readiness of reporting
- Contingency management: Support and provide pro-active and re-active solutions in case of emergency events impacting at country level
What do you bring with you:
- Enthusiastic and positive approach
- Computer skills - System and Tools utilization
- Minimum High school diploma or higher education
- Affinity with or work experience in a logistic and/or transport enviroment;
- Excellent communication skills
- English and Italian languages, speaking and writing
- You are willing to work in alternating shifts, at irregular times (day, evening, partially weedends)
- You are self-starting in dynamic environment where it is all or nothing
- You are stress resistant and can therefore tackle ad-hoc matters in addition to your planned activities
- You have perseverance and strongly developed sense of responsibility, in which you enjoy working with your colleagues
