Purpose of Position: The Logistics & Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of stock data within company systems. This role plays a key part in maintaining reliable and traceable logistics and inventory processes aligned with both operational and financial needs. The specialist actively contributes to identifying and resolving stock discrepancies, performing root cause analyses, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.The role is part of a three person team that, in addition to inventory-related activities, is also responsible for end-to-end logistics operations
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of stock data in ERP systems.
- Monitor and analyze warehouse movements, identifying discrepancies.
- Perform inventory adjustments.
- Conduct root cause analyses of stock issues, identifying recurring patterns and defining corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Plant teams (production supervisors, stock controllers), IT, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance.
- Define, update, and communicate S&OP procedures related to inventory-impacting processes.
- Attend weekly on-site visits to production plants to jointly investigate and resolve stock-related issues.
- Coordinate and oversee cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Manage warehouse write-offs and obsolescence, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Support the evolution of IT systems related to logistics by contributing to functional requirement definition.
Technical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Economics, Logistics, or related fields. 1-2 years of experience in similar roles within manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments.
- Italian (mother tongue), English (B2)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably M3).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of inbound/outbound logistics flows and production-related processes.
- Hands-on experience with cycle and annual inventory processes.
- Ability to read and analyze inventory reports and warehouse documentation
