ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for the experience in the assigned destinations from strategic planning to on-site delivery Main tasks and duties:
Research and develop the product offer in the regions of responsibility in line with expedition philosophy guest satisfaction- cost control and brand loyalty
- Conduct industry/market research and performance measurement to determine product demand and generate revenue opportunities
- Negotiate costs and product details via periodical bids to select the local Operators with the best cost-effectiveness and highest quality standards
- Ensure the local operators are compliant with Company insurance requirements and contracting procedures
- Forecasts the shore excursions’ cost on a port level to meet the financial goals of a specific budget and timeline
- Secure cost performance and NPS of each voyage
- Monitor experiences are carried out as scheduled and in compliance with all safety protocols
- Supervise the daily operation and ensure the documentation is updated
- Lead the voyage preparation with all stakeholders including the Expedition Team Set-up the experiences in the system
- ensure inventory and departure time
- Design the itinerary in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct scouting trips to research the destinations
- Conduct site inspections to check the quality of the product and ship inspections to cross-check processes and procedures and support the Expedition Team on field and the operation
- Attend trade shows and conventions to build relationships with local partners and communities
- Support the resolution of operational issues and itinerary changes in cooperation with onboard and shoreside teams and involved third parties
- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum 3 years’ product development experience preferred in the Expedition Industry
- Onboard experience preferred in the Luxury Industry
- Worldwide destination and port knowledge
- English B2
- Availability to travel up to 30%
