Make your mark for patients
We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison Neurology / Rare Epilepsy who is scientifically curious, proactive in stakeholder engagement, and passionate about improving patient outcomes, to join our Neurology team, based at our UCB campus located in Milan, Italy.
About the role
You will be a key scientific partner to the medical community, engaging with thought leaders, sharing clinical insights, and helping shape patient-centered solutions in the field of rare epilepsies. This hybrid role covers Central Italy, and you must reside in the Lazio region.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate with internal teams such as Clinical Development, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs, while also engaging with healthcare professionals, academic centers, and patient advocacy groups across Central Italy.
What you will do
- You will build and sustain trusted relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in neurology.
- You will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and balanced scientific and clinical information.
- You will support local data generation efforts, including IIS and real-world evidence projects.
- You will provide field-based insights to inform clinical development and strategic decisions.
- You will collaborate cross-functionally to present clinical and HEOR data to stakeholders.
- You will serve as the local subject matter expert in neurology and rare epilepsies.
Interested?
For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
- Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy/CTF, biotechnology, or life sciences (M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent).
- Proven experience in an MSL or comparable scientific/medical role.
- Expertise in neurology and a strong understanding of the Italian healthcare landscape.
- Prior experience in rare diseases is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Fluent in both Italian and English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel frequently within Central Italy.
- Residence in Lazio is required.
