The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Italian lawyer (avvocato) or CPA (commercialista) to join our Private Client and Tax department in Milan. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong academic background and early post-qualification experience to develop their career in a dynamic, international environment.
As a member of the team, you will work closely with partners and colleagues, contributing to a diverse range of matters including tax planning, wealth management, and private client advisory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal and tax research to support client matters and internal projects
- Drafting and reviewing legal and tax memorandum, opinions, and other technical documents
- Managing and analysing documentation with attention to detail and accuracy
- Assisting with pitches, tenders, and business development initiatives
- Supporting the team in the organisation of client events and networking activities
- Preparing initial drafts of engagement letters and managing client onboarding, ensuring full compliance with AML and KYC requirements
- Coordinating communications, including client correspondence, meetings, and internal support across teams and international offices
- Assisting finance processes: handling accounting queries and preparing monthly billing through Elite (our internal time and billing system)
- Providing general administrative and project management support to ensure smooth workflow within the department

Required skills and experience
- Excellent academics
- Italian degree in Law or Economics
- Qualified avvocato or commercialista
- Ideally 2-4 years’ post-qualification experience in tax law (we will consider prior experience in private client and wealth management)
- Fluent Italian and English (English proficiency equal to a C1 level is a must)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clearly and concisely
- Analytical mindset with proven research skills and problem-solving ability
- Strong team player, eager to collaborate both locally and internationally
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under time pressure
- Strong IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.)
