Surveying firm needs a Professional Land Surveyor for operations that are mostly focused on the Portland Oregon USA area. Remote work is available.
DUTIES:
Remotely train and manage survey staff
Prepare proposals and manage survey projects
Prepare and process all types of surveys
Prepare legal descriptions
Work with boundary, topo, and ALTA surveys; and FEMA flood elevation certificates
Record and read detailed and accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed
Ensure quality control of record plats, plans, descriptions, and reviews of title commitments
Other duties as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Willing to obtain registration as a Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Washington and/or Oregon or are already registered or awaiting results of the necessary exams. Obtaining registered status requires passing one exam per state and two national exams. Preparation materials will be provided.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and Carlson Survey preferred but not required
Business development and marketing experience preferred but not required
Experience with Trimble and Leica equipment preferred but not required
Able to process fieldwork data
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to maintain and repair equipment preferred but not required

*** No less than 8 years' experience, with no more than 4 years of education counting toward the experience requirement. Due to legal requirements, I cannot make exceptions.
