Position
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at Hotel Pitrizza, an iconic 5-star luxury resort located in the heart of Costa Smeralda. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a prestigious hospitality brand, renowned for its refined elegance and personalized service.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all purchasing activities in compliance with corporate procurement policies and local regulations.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal terms, quality, and service levels.
- Coordinate with all departments (F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, etc.) to anticipate and fulfill operational purchasing needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely ordering, receiving, and storage of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement cost control measures to optimize stock management and reduce waste.
- Ensure traceability, compliance with HACCP protocols, and sustainability principles across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with the Finance department for budgeting and reporting activities.
- Support seasonal openings and closings, including sourcing, forecasting, and onboarding of new suppliers.
Profile
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in luxury hospitality.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Birchstreet, Material Control).
- Knowledge of local suppliers and logistics specific to Sardinia is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages are an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach.
- Ability to work under pressure in a seasonal and dynamic environment.
