The Translational Biomarker department located in Verona is looking for 1 temp position for a Research Scientist to support translational Flow Cytometry and Immunoassay activities across several projects. The scientist will work with Senior Scientists to support operations after a period of training on the job for the use of Flow Cytometers and Immunoassay instruments. Depending on project needs, collaboration with the local and global Biomarker team, Pharmacology and DMPK departments will be part of daily activities.
The following responsibilities and competences are needed:
Responsibilities:
- Processing of samples and derivates from preclinical species and humans (e.g., plasma, blood, PBMCs, isolation of immune subsets by magnetic sorting)
- Support assay set up/validation and sample analysis by Flow Cytometry and Immunoassay by different platforms (i.e., MSD, Luminex, Attune NxT)
- Support assessment of translational biomarkers in different studies on human or preclinical samples, and in PK/PD and Tox studies on preclinical species

Preferable qualifications and skills:
- Background in biology (i.e., degree in Biology, Biotechnology, no PhD)
- Manipulation of cells and tissues
- Micropipette handling, use of multiwell plate format
- Office 365 package and Graphpad Prism
- Basic knowledge of Flow Cytometry
