Independently supervises and coordinates shift operations of a retail branch or annex activity. Maintains and processes necessary reports, ensures accountability, security, and supervises and schedules assigned employees.
1. Supervises the sale of merchandise during hours not regularly covered by the activity manager/supervisor or assistant manager.
2. Ensures the proper display and price marking of merchandise and adherence to correct receipt and pricing procedures.
3. Ensures that adequate stock levels are maintained; requisitions merchandise, as required.
4. Maintains and processes required sales records and accountability reports.
5. Maintains security of building, cash, fixed assets, and merchandise inventory. Responsible for opening and/or closing the facility.
6. Supervises and provides on-the-job training of employees assigned to the shift; modifies employees’ work assignments to meet unexpected sales fluctuations, etc. Evaluates employees' performance where assigned on a continuing basis.
7. Ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations and procedures.
8. Participates in conducting and taking required inventories.
9.Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the military star credit card, exchange protection plan and other corporate programs to customers to drive sales growth and increase customer brand loyalty. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Supervisory control: works under general supervision of the retail store manager, annex manager, or annex supervisor. Receives operational guidance and assistance. Complies with regulations and procedures set forth in applicable operations manuals and internal instructions and procedures. Performance is appraised in terms of adequacy of customer service and operational efficiency. The operation is subject to periodic inspections, inventories, and audits.
Qualification requirements
Completion of high school or equivalent education is required. Must have a minimum of two years of retail experience, with prior supervisory experience being a plus. Strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in using relevant computer systems are essential. Able to demonstrate the potential for additional responsibility and possess strong organizational skills to effectively manage a fast-paced environment. Must be able to handle financial transactions accurately. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move merchandise as needed.
MUST BE FLUENT IN SPOKEN AND WRITTEN ENGLISH.
