We are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager Chiller EMEA to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco, Italy!
The Senior Product Manager Chiller EMEA is responsible for managing the Chillers Products Lifecycle, supporting the business growth and gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the go-to-market and the marketing plan.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Product Manager Chiller EMEA understands the market, the competitive landscape, and the technical details of the product. He/she works with Sr. Dir Thermal Product Management EMEA to:
- Gain deep insight into customer needs and desired outcomes through extensive customer, channel, and market research.
- Define “VOC” voice of customer and share requirements with global products groups
- Define product business case for new products developments, and execute product business case on existing products in line with Thermal EMEA targets
- Manage profitability and sales forecast of product line and define corrective actions in term of price execution
- Be an expert on chillers and chilled water systems applications and projects
- Fully knowledgeable on markets, industries trends, channels, and competitive product lines.
- Develop sales and marketing strategies and plans to maximize product revenue and profitability.
- Responsible for supporting the ongoing sustaining product management throughout its product lifecycle
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product lifecycle management plans including product introduction, line extension, engineered to order, and end of production.
- Support chillers large sales projects, coordinating efforts for product specification definition and needs for special features applications in coordination with sales and AE teams. He / She should be directly involved coordinating efforts for new developments together with regional and global NPDI teams
- Research market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
- Collect voice of customers and products business cases and share with global products teams
- Addressing actions to reduce finished goods inventory and support business decisions in case of major supply chain issues and assist in championing resolution of offering issues (i.e. delivery, quality, inventory)
- Work alongside Operations and Material planning to ensure competitive lead time, inventory optimization and meet revenue targets
- Manage list pricing and multipliers in EMEA.
- Manage product line profitability, volume forecasts, price gain.
- Support on development of sales tools, case studies, white papers in order to promote Vertiv chillers products as part of the overall Vertiv Thermal Chain solution offer.
- Ensure all customer facing offering documentation and marketing collateral is available and accurate and specific for the region, country, and market segment.
- Attend tradeshows, visit customers, meet with sales team, distributors and partners to ensure an accurate voice of customer is heard in all product plans
- Develop and track metrics to measure post-launch sales performance of new offerings, including pipeline, quotation
- Collaborate with Marketing teams to develop marketing programs
- Support AE and Sales team for large and complex projects with large customization and deep product knowledge required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master Degree in Mechanical / Energy engineering preferred
- 8+ years technical, product/service, strategic planning, marketing or directly related experience.
- Experience with HVAC and Data center applications is preferred
- Strong business acumen and act as a CEO for the products managed by him
- Ability to quickly develop cross-functional relationships to achieve business objectives
- Technical expertise to translate customer needs/pain points to solutions
- Demonstrated competence in problem solving, data analysis, & project management
- Excellent communications skills – written & verbals
- High focus on customer needs
- Able to combine long term and short-term goals by setting priorities
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization from entry level to executive
- Attitude to act as a leader in his/her role and with curiosity in all what’s new (market trends, new technologies, etc.)
- Language skills: fluent English written and verbal required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications

- A penchant for innovation and different thinking
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office applications with specific emphasis on Excel, basic knowledge of AutoCad.
- Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas to technically diverse audiences.
