In Iberdrola Italia we are lookin for a higly experienced SIte Manager
The Site Manager is a critical role within the Onshore Renewables Business. Belonging to the Construction Team and reporting to the Project Manager, the role will be responsible in the site for the management of the subcontractors, taking necessary actions to assure the works are completed according to the contractual schedule and assuring all technical requirements are fulfilled. The Site Manager will be the maximum responsible on site of the assigned project.
The role will take the lead in project management on site in the assigned project construction of the renewable’s projects.
The individual will be a recognized expert in their field and take leadership within the requirements for the renewable’s projects.
Tasks for this role will include:
Main responsible of Iberdrola on site (position full time on-site)
- Responsible for the correct execution of the Renewable project (in safety, QAQC, planning and cost) reporting to the Project Manager and the person in charge of the PV Plant package..
- Working under the directions of the Project Manager to manage and coordinate whole interfaces between whole activities required for the correct development and put in service the Renewable project: Planning, Cost Control, Engineering, Purchases, Construction and Commissioning,
- Support the Project Manager during the tender process, including preparing tender documentation and contracts for the main supplies (if applicable) and construction contracts, evaluate offers received and manage and lead the final negotiation and signature of the contracts. Will be supported, as well, in technical aspects by the engineering team.
- Coordinate teams and plan in accordance with the permitting activities. Teams will be internal like engineering and permitting teams, aswell as external like PMO (Project Management Office) and contractors.
- Manage main supplies and execution contracts. This will include all activities needed for a well performance in health and safety, quality, scheduling and cost.
- Manage Subcontractors Provisional Acceptance Certificates and lead the internal asset management to O&M department.
- Lead the implementation and adaptation for Iberdrola standards, procedures, tools, best practices, and quality requirements.
- Provide expert advice on appropriate programmed strategies / engineering strategies / risk levels and grid interface agreements relative to a multi-million-euro, multi-disciplinary, multi-contract work package, to ensure that cost effective technical solutions are identified, fully evaluated and the risk profile is fully understood by the project.
- Provide professional leadership and direction to team members, to ensure professional standards are maintained (or enhanced) and the team delivers a consistent, high-quality, cost-effective service to the projects.
- Be fully aware, informed and up to date of the latest technical developments and identify and assess suitable new that has the potential activities to reduce cost and risk, or improve safety.
- Attend and coordinate all incidents on site with regard to contractors and any third party (owners, stakeholders, etc.) that may arise on the project site
- Ensure lessons learnt regarding his activities are captured and shared across the different projects and teams.
- Liaise with the relevant stakeholders like EDP, REN, etc., to lead the technical aspects of the project during the construction phase.
Required qualification
- technical high School or Degree in Engineering
- minimum 5 + years’ experience in the energy industry, in site management of solar projects.
- Knowledge of the TSO/DSO standards.
- Engineering development experience is a plus.
Languages
- Italian fluent
- English professional use
- Spanish would be a plus
