As a System Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Milano. Together, we work in the organization in charge of managing all activities on fault tolerant systems.
About Your Future Role
In this position, you will: focus on the efficient and effective operation and maintenance of HPE's NonStop System (NSS) platforms. This role involves a deep understanding of the NSS hardware, software, and infrastructure, and the ability to apply that knowledge to address various technical challenges and improve system performance.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- System Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of NSS systems, ensuring their availability and performance.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including hardware failures, software bugs, and network problems.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Patch and Upgrade Management: Manage software updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure system security and stability.
- Capacity Planning and Optimization: Plan for future capacity needs and optimize resource utilization.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain accurate documentation of NSS systems and share knowledge with other team members.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with other IT professionals, vendors, and customers, even those of different nationalities, to resolve issues and meet business needs.
- An adequate level of knowledge and understanding of written and spoken English is required
