Summary:
Reporting directly to the WEU Training Assoc. Director and in dotted line to the HST Leadership Team, the WEU HST (PSS/GSS) Training Manager provides Product, Therapy and enables sales training to the regional Commercial Teams, Marketing teams, and all other selected functions.
Role Responsibilities
- Raising Commercial Excellence in the regional organization by designing and implementing a full portfolio product and therapy training curriculum.
- Facilitate sales training either directly or as management of external suppliers.
- Develop and organize focused initiatives to assess competence and measure impact of the training curriculum as part of a certification process.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders in the commercial teams to define & deliver effective learning & development solutions enabling commercial teams to implement marketing & sales strategy.
- Meet aligned business goals as part of the Commercial Excellence offering.
- Content innovation and development for product launches, providing guidance to the regions to ensure that programs are implemented effectively and in alignment with business needs.
- Working with regional/global marketing to integrate product and therapy training with practical selling skills into product launch planning and execution.
- Working closely with the countries to identify local trainers, set priorities, develop implementation plans and execute those plans for the marketing and customer-facing teams
- Work with other businesses Training Mgrs. to create and adhere to business training process and scheduling.
- Attend international meetings with divisional Leadership Team members and Training Team whenever required, to align on training needs, collect/provide feedbacks, present the achievements and upskill/share best practices with other Training Mgrs. in the organization.
- Blend remote and in person international training classes as it best fits the training purposes.
- Design and arrange international hands-on training experiences on portfolio products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional learning expertise to drive a culture of Commercial Excellence through Advanced Surgery portfolio training.
- Lead the adoption of effective commercial L&D solutions through comprehensive BU training curriculum.
- Publicize and deliver BU training calendar of events to educate new starters and ensure safety, confidence and competence in the field.
- Improve quality standards for commercial L&D interventions through setting clearly defined standards & measuring all interventions against these standards.
- Identify regional and country product and therapy training needs and source / design / deliver solutions to meet these needs.
- Evaluate effectiveness & sustainability of commercial L&D interventions.
- Work with the global and regional commercial teams to deliver training programs linking knowledge with skills to achieve consistency and enhanced outcomes.
- Implement “Best in class” training programs that significantly raise the level of product, therapy, sales skills, account management, marketing skills in the commercial organization.
- Work closely with Regional/Global BU Marketing to develop materials that translate into powerful sales tools.
- Create / deliver train the trainer programs to ensure consistent training delivery & implementation across the region.
- Establish as a member of Global and Regional product launch teams to address training requirements and commercial effectiveness needs
- Coordinate local Field Trainers activities across the region and facilitate best practice sharing among the group.
- Support the design and implementation of BU digital solutions as well as the integration of all solutions into the company’s Learning Management System.
Qualifications
- Relevant L&D qualification preferred, with experience in a commercial environment including but not limited to Learning & development management, Training Needs Analysis, Design & delivery of training programs / interventions and blended learning solutions
- Fluency in English is mandatory and knowledge of other European languages advantageous.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in a Business or science related discipline.
- Previous sales experience (3+ years) in healthcare industry is required.
- Previous people, product or process management experience is required.
- Previous experience in European / International positions or involvement in international projects is desirable.
- Previous Marketing or Medical Affairs experience is considered a plus.
