About the job:
As the Consumer & Market Insights Lead for Italy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our business by embedding deep consumer understanding into every decision. You will lead all research activities—both primary and secondary—ensuring that insights are not only gathered but transformed into actionable strategies that drive growth and innovation. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of self-care in Italy, working cross-functionally with local and global teams to champion the voice of the consumer and elevate Opella’s market presence.
Main responsibilities:
Shape and influence the strategic roadmap for Italy by identifying growth opportunities through consumer insights.
Lead the development and execution of the Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) roadmap aligned with Italy’s Growth Model.
Drive integration of insights into business strategies, ensuring consumer centricity across all functions.
Collaborate with the Growth Performance Hub to align insights with performance metrics and market dynamics.
Inspire teams with innovative research methodologies and storytelling that bring the consumer voice to life.
Build strong partnerships with global CMI teams and external research agencies to ensure best-in-class project delivery.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and sharing across the zone and global CMI communities.
About you:
Proven 5+ years extensive experience in market research, ideally within FMCG or research institutes self-care industries with proven success in identifying and sharing consumer and shopper insights.
Strong track record of turning insights into strategic business actions.
Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with working knowledge of secondary data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Ipsos).
Ensure alignment with the strategic business objectives of Italy Growth Model.
Identify knowledge gaps and propose market research plans to address.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Fluent in Italian and English.
Comfortable navigating a dynamic, fast-paced environment with autonomy and leadership.
