International HR Director
We're looking for a skilled and proactive International HR Director to serve as the crucial link between our Italy-based corporate headquarters and our key international markets .
The ideal candidate will drive our international growth by acting as an HR Business Partner to global leaders, supporting organizational and business development across various regions. This role focuses on overseeing and implementing our People Management strategy across multiple countries, ensuring strong alignment between global business objectives and local requirements. It demands a deep understanding of international HR practices, talent management, and the ability to effectively navigate diverse cultural and regulatory landscapes.
Note: While collaborating closely with our headquarters in Italy, this role's direct responsibility does not extend to our Italian operations; instead, it focuses solely on our other international countries .
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Implement global HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across different regions.
- International HR Management: Oversee HR operations in multiple countries (e.g., UK, US, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Portugal), managing teams and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure legal compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations across all international locations, partnering closely with local leadership and teams to mitigate potential risks. Collaborate with legal teams and external counsel on labor law matters and cross-border HR issues.
- Integration: Implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with both global standards and local legislation. Support M&A due diligence and integration from an HR compliance and people perspective.
- Talent Management: Oversee and implement global talent acquisition strategies, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, to attract and retain top talent.
- Compensation & Benefits: Implement global compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with company policies and local regulations.
- HRIS & Data Management: Utilize HR information systems (HRIS) and data analytics to make informed decisions and enhance HR processes.
- Training & Development: Support and drive global training and development programs to enhance employee skills and foster career growth.
- Change Management: Manage HR-related change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to local operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Solid international experience in a similar HR leadership role.
- Proven experience managing HR functions across multiple countries, with a deep understanding of global HR practices, employment law, and regulations.
- Prior experience within the UK is essential.
- Strategic thinking and leadership: Ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different cultures.
- Proven leadership and management skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, build strong relationships, and influence stakeholders.
- Experience with HRIS and data analytics: Ability to utilize HR systems and data to make informed decisions and improve HR processes.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability: Ability to adapt to different cultural norms and work effectively in a global environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional international teams.
- Degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are a plus.
- Fluency in both English and Italian is essential. Additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a matrix or fast-paced global environment. Exposure to other European labor markets is an advantage.
