Job Description
Both TOMRA and ICOEL agree that there are significant business growth opportunities across regions and believe that this growth can be best addressed through cohesive alignment and planning, particularly in the area of supply chain and operations.
The purpose of this role is to proactively manage demand, capacity and constraints specific to TOMRA projects with ICOEL, and overcome these to maximise business benefits for both parties.
This will involve:
- Ensuring a shared understanding of TOMRA demand across regions and ICOEL capacity constraints;
- Develop an aligned position within TOMRA Food on demand forecasts, probabilities and represent a unified position on priorities to ICOEL, develop and manage a process to support this on an on-going basis;
- Develop an execution plan with ICOEL that maximises available capacity and optimises the number of project deliveries within required customer delivery dates;
- Where projects cannot be supported by ICOEL for capacity reasons, develop alternative strategies for supporting deals through other partners.
Role and Responsibilities:
Relationship:
- Develop a strong relationship of trust with key stakeholders in ICOEL and TOMRA. These include ICOEL management, TOMRA regional heads, regional sales and service leaders, customer solutions teams and global solutions, through transparent processes, clear communication and presence.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and how both ICOEL and TOMRA address these needs.
Planning & Management:
- Implement a robust planning process that integrates information on customer pipeline, regional priorities and available capacity at ICOEL with TOMRA Food’s planning processes.
- Create a S&OP process aligned with TOMRA Food for demand and supply planning without jeopardizing the role ICOEL has as distributor in selected markets.
- Develop clear criteria for prioritisation of customer orders and build an aligned prioritised forecast within TOMRA Food; represent this as one TOMRA Food voice to ICOEL.
- Reconcile the TOMRA demand plan with ICOEL supply and engineering capacity plan; identify gaps and develop an aligned production execution plan that optimises customer orders with available capacity.
- Develop mitigation plans where demand exceeds the available capacity plan, including sourcing 3rd party suppliers and balancing workload.
- Ensure transparent and open decision making across parties.

- Ensure the team works within agreed operating models, and ensure all decisions are made within agreed authority limits.

- Identify, implement and embed any Excellence initiatives to improve quality, performance and efficiency of the team to facilitate outstanding customer experience.
- Create a S&OP process without jeopardising the direct and distribution capacity of ICOEL
Qualifications
About You:
- A level 7 (NQF) qualification in a technical, planning or business discipline.
- Previous experience working within the processed or fresh food industry, in a customer-facing, planning or operational role.
- Excellent leadership skills with min. 5+ years in a position of influence.
- Strong track-record of building enduring and effective relationships.
- Experience in working with a global team across different continents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English. Conversational Italian desired but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Capable of inspiring and aligning cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Sociable and caring, with good support skills.
Additional Information:
- The role will be based at ICOEL’s Fondi facility in Italy.
- Candidates must have an ability to work flexibly, in an open office environment, manufacturing sites as well as industrial customer worksites in any country as directed.
