We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead and oversee all warehouse operations within our space manufacturing facility. Operating in a low-volume, high-complexity production environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the storage, handling, and flow of high-value components with long lead times, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, traceability, and efficiency.
The warehouse plays a central role in supporting multiple production areas with potentially diverse needs, from projects requiring project-specific (make-to-order) inventory management to others operating with shared or stock-based logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all warehouse activities, including goods receipt, storage, inventory control, kitting, and dispatch.
- Ensure full traceability and documentation for all parts and assemblies, in compliance with internal standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems; conduct regular audits and cycle counts.
- Manage and adapt warehouse operations to support different production models (e.g., project-based, stock-based), ensuring tailored material flows for each area.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams to align material availability with project timelines.
- Manage proper storage conditions (e.g., ESD, temperature-sensitive items)
- Coordinate incoming inspections and ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to support efficiency and minimize handling risks.
- Lead and develop a small team of warehouse personnel, ensuring continuous training and adherence to safety procedures.
- Monitor and improve KPIs related to warehouse operations.
Required Skills:
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in warehouse/logistics management, preferably in high-tech sectors.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS/ERP/MRP) and warehouse best practices.
- Familiarity with Infor LN ERP system is highly preferred.
- Experience in managing materials in environments with heterogeneous production requirements (e.g., make-to-order vs. make-to-stock).
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (e.g, ECSS) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of export control regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written)
