Lorenzo de' Medici is currently seeking a qualified Administrative to serve as a resource and liaison for a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
Based in Florence, Italy, Lorenzo de' Medici is an Italian institution of international education offering U.S.-accredited undergraduate-level courses.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide support to students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals, with a particular focus on individual growth and stress management
Ensure that all students have access to the resources needed for equitable learning, working closely with the teaching staff
Enforce school regulations while maintaining a reasoned and flexible approach to address individual cases
Handle conflicts, emergencies, and misunderstandings, often under time constraints and in emotionally sensitive contexts
Maintain consistent and effective communication with teachers and staff to ensure smooth coordination of the school’s daily activities
Liaise, when necessary, with students’ home universities regarding academic performance, conduct, or other critical matters
Manage administrative tasks related to student life, including attendance justifications, disciplinary reports, and monitoring of at-risk situations
Actively participate in orientation activities
Required:
Master’s or doctoral degree in higher education
Substantial intercultural sensitivity, particularly to North American and Italian cultures
Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and emergencies
Ability to remain clear-headed and maintain a constructive approach in high-pressure situations
Mental flexibility, tolerance, and adaptability in emotionally complex contexts
