Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position:
The Arrivals & Departures Venue Manager is responsible for the management of all processes and supporting facilities that concern the Athletes and Team Officials when arriving or departing their Village including transport, logistics, security whilst ensuring the greatest customer service.
- Coordinate the integrated planning with Villages, Transport, Logistics and NOC Services through a Working Group for all Arrival and Departure Village process;
- To work with the Arrivals & Departures Off Airport Processing Manager in developing the departure plan at Villages with Villages, transport and logistics leads;
- Supporting the development and communication of service information through documentation and presenations to the relevant stakeholders;
- To have a good knowledge of the Arrivals & Departures System (ADS) and to be able to support staff in learning;
- Assist in building and lead the Arrivals and Departures team, including recruitment, performance management, resolving problems, coaching; motivation, objective setting, and other duties related to managing a team according to the OC workforce strategy and associated policies and procedures;
- To Lead/Manage the all departure meetings with the NOC’s
- To manage all the FA Service Desk operations in the Villages ensuring NOC data is kept up to date, any transport reservations are made, follow up outstanding mishandled or damaged baggage and manage issues, feedback, complaints and compliments relating to any aspects of an NOC’s arrival or departure
- Ensure the Arrivals and Departures Village team are delivering all aspects of the operation to the agreed standards and provide the necessary support to all other FAs. Responsibilities of the role will evolve during the lifespan of the Organising Committee, and it is likely that the role profile will evolve with the changing needs of the organization.
Requirements:
Essential experience:
- Experience working at a Major Event in a Customer focused operation with a good knowledge and understanding of arrivals and departures requirements and challenges experienced in managing Groups;
- Evidence of ability to apply a clear, logical, and coherent approach to the analysis of complex issues, and the development and implementation of recommendations for next step action;
- Ability to proactively contribute to operational discussions and to manage challenging situations;
- Demonstrated ability to work with, and influence, internal stakeholders to successfully assist strong working relationships and joint decision-making;
- Demonstrated resilience and ability in responding proactively to changes and priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, training, and managing teams;
- Working knowledge of English language, Italian.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role at a major sports event, with a good understanding of Arrivals and Departures processes.
