Overall Purpose of this Job:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic compliance leader to establish and oversee a Center of Excellence (CoE) for the Healthcare Compliance Risk Management (HCC) IM EMEA region. This role will focus on centralizing key compliance tasks, including monitoring, third-party intermediary (TPI) due diligence, Map management, compliance communication, and training.
In this dual capacity, the successful candidate will also serve as the Compliance Officer for Italy, ensuring the effective implementation of the compliance program, risk management strategies, and regulatory adherence while acting as a trusted business advisor.
This position is critical in shaping the future of HCC IM within the EMEA region. The role will lead transformation initiatives, leveraging data analytics, automation, and other innovative solutions to enhance services, streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive value for internal and external stakeholders.
The individual will work closely with HCC leadership, cross-functional teams, and Johnson & Johnson business partners to implement a comprehensive compliance transformation roadmap and elevate the HCC IM EMEA program to best-in-class standards.
You will be responsible for:
Leadership & Strategic Oversight
- Establish and lead the Compliance Center of Excellence (CoE) for EMEA, transitioning from manual processes to centralized, data-driven compliance solutions.
- Define and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance excellence across the region.
- Spearhead digital transformation initiatives, leveraging data analytics, and automation to optimize compliance operations.
- Develop a compliance transformation roadmap aligned with the company’s business objectives.
Risk Management & Health Care Compliance
- Oversee and optimize compliance monitoring and third-party intermediary (TPI) due diligence processes, ensuring adherence to global, regional, and local regulatory standards.
- Use data-driven insights to identify compliance risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
Compliance Communication & Training
- Develop and manage compliance communication and training programs, utilizing data insights to foster a culture of compliance and ethical decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior executives across EMEA, providing strategic compliance insights to facilitate informed business decisions.
- Drive awareness and education on compliance policies and regulatory updates, ensuring alignment across all business units.
- Serve as the primary Compliance Officer for Italy, overseeing the implementation and execution of compliance programs in alignment with local and international regulations.
- Ensure effective risk management, compliance reporting, and regulatory adherence at the country level.
Other Duties:
- Stay informed of emerging digital trends and innovations to identify potential opportunities and drive continuous improvement within HCC
- Continually analyze existing compliance processes to identify opportunities and recommend emerging digital solutions to enhance HCC’s operational efficiencies.

We Would Like If You Do Have:
Master degree in Law, Business, Finance, Compliance, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, preferably within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare sector.
- Proven experience in managing transformation projects.
- Expertise in data analysis, project management, and change management methodologies.
- Strong technical knowledge of diverse tools, systems, and platforms, with a background in innovation and digital transformation.
- Ability to analyse workflows, solve complex problems, and interpret data effectively.
- Highly self-motivated with a strategic focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, enabling effective interactions with team members and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and various productivity, collaboration, and analytics tools.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compliance and risk management programs.
- Solid understanding of healthcare compliance laws, anti-bribery and anti-corruption regulations (including FCPA), industry codes, and relevant corporate policies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive compliance initiatives at a regional level.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across all organizational levels and the ability to negotiate and influence business decisions.
