We are now looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team and support customers across the region. This role is home-based with frequent travel required throughout the BU and Cluster.
We are open to considering applications around Lazio and Abruzzo regions in Italy.
What you’ll do at Elekta
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing all Elekta products in your assigned area. You will carry out planned and corrective maintenance, perform installations and upgrades, and provide both on-site and remote customer support.
You will work independently under general supervision, applying engineering expertise to fault-find and resolve technical issues. In addition to supporting customers, you will contribute to knowledge transfer, coach junior engineers where appropriate, and ensure all work is performed in line with Elekta’s safety standards and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform planned and corrective maintenance independently, escalating when necessary.
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues, including radiation beam adjustments.
Use remote tools such as IntelliMax and QlikSense to monitor and diagnose system issues.
Complete installations, upgrades, courtesy visits, and remote/telephone support.
Accurately document and report all service activities in line with Elekta procedures.
Guide and support junior engineers on-site as required.
Manage customer expectations and communicate effectively in service situations.
Proactively contributes to knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Elekta policies on safety, quality, environment, and data management.
What you bring
Higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
Technical competence in electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams.
IT literacy, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and networking.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (verbal and written).
Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
Clean driving license.
Ability to travel extensively and at short notice within Region Europe.
