Open Position: Junior Restaurant & Banqueting Manager
AC Hotels by Marriott Milan Sesto, a landmark of hospitality in Sesto San Giovanni , is seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Restaurant & Banqueting Manager to join our F&B team.
This is an ideal growth opportunity for a young talent with a passion for food, beverage, and events who wishes to launch their managerial career in a structured and stimulating environment. The selected candidate will work in close partnership with the Event Manager and Executive Chef, supporting him in the daily management of our restaurant, , and in the organization of our banqueting department.
Your Key Support Activities:
- Operational Management: You will oversee our food and beverage services (breakfast, lunch, dinner), the bar, and room service, ensuring the hotel's high-quality standards are consistently met.
- Event Organization: You will actively collaborate in the planning and execution of events. You will support the manager in client communications, room setup, coordination of banqueting staff, and supervision during the event itself.
- Team Supervision: you will supervise the front-of-house and banqueting staff, contributing to their motivation and ensuring the smooth flow of service. You will plan and schedule shift.
- Cost and Inventory Control: You will support activities such as monitoring food costs, managing supplier orders, and overseeing inventory, learning the fundamentals of F&B financial management on the job.
- Internal Coordination: You will learn to effectively liaise with other hotel departments, such as the Kitchen, Front Office, and Sales, to guarantee a seamless and integrated guest experience.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Industry Experience: You have at least 1-2 years of experience in the F&B sector, preferably within hotels or restaurant environments that also handle events. Significant experience in roles such as a Supervisor, Head Waiter (Chef de Rang), or relevant internships will be highly regarded.
- Potential and Ambition: You possess strong leadership potential and a great desire to learn and grow professionally in the world of hospitality.
- Proactivity and Passion: You are enthusiastic, proactive, and have a genuine passion for customer service and event organization.
- Organizational Skills: You demonstrate good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Languages: A good command of the Italian language. Fluency in English is an essential requirement to communicate with our international clientele.
- Flexibility: You are available to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, according to operational needs.
