Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Engineer. The Candidate will join the Building & Places Team, which provides services on large-scale real estate and civil engineering projects. Our teams work on complex real estate projects, pulling the right resources across the company to support project needs.
- Technical and design process of the project from Preparation of Brief, Concept Design, through Developed Design to Construction and Handover.
- Design and develop HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Adhering to confident, robust, and well-managed design process strictly controlled to a budget.
- Collaborate with a fully integrated design team working in hand with both the Client’s and the construction teams requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external design consultants, AECOM network, commercial, and procurement to assist with the production of scope and fees for the design team and specialist trade work packages.
- Co-ordinate technical, design, and external Client issues with the design and construction teams.
- Provide technical guidance, planning, and logistic information for bids and tenders.
- Involvement with the Client contact during the design development phase and into the construction phase.
- In conjunction with the Environmental Consultant, issue agreed sustainability/Code, Pre-Assessment, and Energy Strategy.
- Assist with the preparation of Health & Safety File and O&M Manuals.
- Develop, monitor, and report on integrated design program from design team award through pre-construction and construction phases.
- Provide technical support to the bid process.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Technical Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Building, Architecture, or related field)
- 3-5 years of experience with an engineering firm under a MEP/HVAC role.
- Experience in HVAC design and installation.
- Fluent in Italian and English (at least C2 level in EU standards)
- Should be a chartered engineer.
- International working experience is a plus.
- Cost estimating experience.
- Professional experience working with a design consulting firm.
- Relevant experience with Autocad, Revit, and MS Office.
- The ability to work with, interpret, and apply European and American building codes.
- Knowledge of pertinent Italian laws, codes, and regulations.
