IoT FUNCTIONAL ANALYST
Job Responsibilities
The IoT Functional Analyst will play a key role in the design and implementation of IoT solutions. This individual will translate business requirements gathered from the NPD Community into detailed functional specifications and work closely with the development
team throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of IoT technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross - functional team.
Principle Accountabilities:
The IoT Functional Analyst plays a key role in translating business needs from Product Marketing into detailed functional specifications for our IoT offerings. This involves working closely with the software development team to ensure what's built aligns with those specifications effectively. They also contribute to testing to confirm the implemented solutions meet the requirements and provide ongoing support to the
project team and stakeholders at every stage.
- Elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional requirements for IoT devices, platforms, and applications.
- Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and other relevant documentation to clearly communicate functional requirements to the development team.
- Work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and other team members to translate functional specifications into technical designs.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure functional requirements are accurately reflected in the solution design.
- Support the Software Project Manager or Program Managers in project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with Marketing Product Managers to clarify requirements and provide updates on project progress.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the IoT domain.
Job Profile
- Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst, preferably in the IoT domain.
- Solid understanding of IoT concepts, architectures, and technologies (e.g., sensors, connectivity protocols, cloud platforms, data analytics).
- Experience with requirements elicitation techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, surveys)
- Agile methodology certification is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both Italian and English).
- Ability to translate business needs into clear and concise functional specifications.
- Proficiency in creating process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Experience/certifications with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile,-Waterfall)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results
