Purpose

In this role, you will support the development, implementation and measurement of Bord Bia's client support servuces and activities, to build and deliver sustainable business lead conversions for Irish food and drink exporters in the sectors od startegic priority within the region.
What you’ll do
Support and deliver assigned client services relevant to the local market (e.g. market information and activation), in line with the market strategy implementation plan and the Bord Bia Corporate and Sector strategies.
Become a regional market insights expert, collating and disseminating relevant and timely market and sector information to Irish client companies via our client portal, and sharing knowledge with colleagues in line with best practice set out by The Bord Bia Thinking House.
Proactively maintain and build a network of trade contacts in priority sectors across all channels and in various roles within priority customer accounts in Italy.
Localise and implement Bord Bia’s local marketing plans in Italy, ensuring optimum reach, frequency and impact for trade and consumer campaigns, in line with central brand guidelines, investment models and campaign performance reporting.
Contribute to the development and annual review of Bord Bia’s strategy implementation in market by developing local strategy plans and delivering on assigned KPIs.
Manage the performance of international graduates during their two year placements in Milan by determining and delegating priorities, through regular review of personal development plans and informal feedback and coaching.
Effectively manage assigned budgets, and master data management and analysis, and in line with One Bord Bia processes and policies.
About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills Capabilities
Knowledge:
- Generating and distilling market insights
- Knowledge operating in a marketing or business development role
- Successful implementation of trade and/or consumer marketing campaigns
- Building professional relationships with suppliers, trade customers, media goverment, both in Ireland, and the marketplace.
Skills Capabilities:
- Digital first mindset
- Comfortable with an agile culture focused on continuous improvement
- Influencing and negotiating skills, adapted to the local culture
- Fluent written and spoken English and Italian.
- Excellent communication presentation skills, with strong verbal and report writing ability
Proficient business use of the full Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline, e.g. Business, Marketing etc.
- Knowledge of the Irish Food, Drink Horticulture industry
- Membership of relevant professional bodies
Skills Capabilities:
- Experience in the use of Salesforce or equivalent CRM and video conferencing systems.
- Experience operating professionally in different cultures
