Posizione:
The Head of Operations at Artemest will lead and optimize all operational functions to support the company’s ambitious growth in the luxury design and furniture sector. This individual will ensure that supply chain, production coordination, customer service, and cross-functional processes are seamless, scalable, and aligned with our brand's commitment to excellence, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on in resolving issues, resilient in the face of unexpected challenges, and able to transform fragmented processes into seamless systems without compromising the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and service.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Order Management & Vendor Coordination
- Work closely with artisans, production partners, and internal teams to track timelines, resolve delays, and ensure quality.
- Optimize roles and processes within the order management team, with the aim of guaranteeing an optimal level of service to Artemest customers while ensuring smooth and efficient processes
- Standardize and improve vendor’s compliance with Artemest quality and sustainability standards.
- Proactively manage production timelines across hundreds of artisans and vendors, identifying risks early and implementing contingency plans to prevent client impact.
- Work closely with the trade projects’ team to optimize made-to-order and bespoke production workflows for scalability and reliability.
Customer Experience & Service Operations
- Oversee the post-sale to deliver a premium experience aligned with the Artemest brand.
- Monitor and fine-tune KPIs for service levels, order accuracy, returns, and resolution times; continuously improve.
- Ensure operational excellence in supporting interior designers, architects, and hospitality clients.
- Personally oversee resolution of VIP client disputes and high-profile installations when reputational stakes are high.
Operational Strategy & Efficiency
- Design and implement operational systems that support the company’s omnichannel and global strategy.
- Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement projects across operations and fulfillment.
- Oversee operational readiness for new revenue streams such as branded residences, FF&E projects, and large-scale developer partnerships.
- Lead recovery plans when unexpected problems arise, personally stepping in when key accounts are at risk.
Technology & Tools
- Partner with tech and product teams to ensure operations systems (ERP, order management) are robust and scalable.
- Implement full operational visibility on projects from artisan workshop to final installation.
- Lead operations digitization projects that increase visibility, traceability, and efficiency.
Projects’ Supply Chain & Logistics Management
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain on large projects, from artisan production to final delivery to clients worldwide.
- Ensure smooth deliveries, particularly for high-value items, balancing cost-efficiency and white-glove service.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the logistics team, regularly reviewing performance across shipping, warehousing, and last-mile delivery partners.
- Establish post-delivery inspection and feedback loops to ensure continuous improvement in both client satisfaction and margin protection.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team across regions.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Merchandising, and Finance to align goals and timelines.
- Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO in scaling the business globally.
Requisiti:
What are we looking for?
- Proven track record in global operations leadership, ideally in luxury design, interiors, or high-value manufacturing.
- Crisis management expertise, able to lead with composure and authority when facing production delays, logistics failures, or client escalations.
- Strong background in cross-border operations, artisan and vendor management, and logistics for bespoke goods.
- Tech-savvy with experience implementing or upgrading ERP and project management systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of managing both highly demanding clients and creative artisan partners.
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Knowledge about SAP and Salesforce is a plus
