Position Responsibilities
- Intercompany Reconciliations & Consolidation: Oversee intercompany transactions and monthly/quarterly reconciliations. Ensure accurate group-level financial reporting in coordination with group finance.
- Team Supervision & Mentoring: Supervise, mentor, and support the local accounting and finance team. Provide guidance and ensure timely execution of accounting tasks.
- Quarter-End Close & Full Accounting Cycle: Lead or support the quarterly and year-end closing process. Responsible for journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, ensuring the integrity of financial statements.
- Vendor & Third-Party Management: Maintain strong relationships with banks, vendors, and public entities. Ensure timely execution of payments, tax filings, and compliance with external obligations (e.g., VAT, tax authorities).
- Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Handle statutory and regulatory filings in accordance with local laws and deadlines. Coordinate with internal and external auditors as needed.
- Strategic Financial Support: Collaborate with management to provide accurate financial reports and meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Team Supervision & Mentoring: Supervise, mentor, and support the local accounting and finance team. Provide guidance and ensure timely execution of accounting tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications (CPA, ACCA) are strongly preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of experience, ideally in a multinational environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-leading role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS. Familiarity with Italian GAAP and local tax compliance is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision) and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities: team coordination, delegation, coaching, and communication.
- Fluency in English; Italian proficiency is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
