Responsibilities / Tasks
According to the indications given by the Service Project Manager, the Site Coordinator and Support Team carries out the technical service activities at the customers’ cooperating with the relative Service functions involved.
He takes care of the job organization for the services providing with a particular attention to the technical content of which he has a direct experience.
His task is the technical evaluation of the GEA machines at the customer’s sites, defining the mechanical/ electrical components that should be replaced or modernized.
He carries out the following main activities and tasks:
- he works actively in the Service scheduled activities, such as Audit, Maintenance, Modification, Revamping, Upgrade and Modernization at the customers’ sites
- he defines the spare-parts, the processing and the timing for the machines overhauls carries out line/machine restarts following the maintenance or modification, Upgrade, Retrofit
- he carries out the ordinary and extraordinary machines maintenances at the customers’ site
- he draws up detailed technical reports indicating the performed activities and those ones to be performed
- he is available for worldwide trips (on average about 120 days per year)
- he coordinates and manages on site any potential sub-contractor external technicians
- he manages the technical, operational and temporal details of each intervention in agreement and compliance with the received details
- in close co-operation with the Site Coordinator and the Service Project Manager, he checks if the conditions under which they work on site are in line with the safety standards, evaluating any possible/necessary corrective action
- he draws up maintenance lists
- he carries out the tasks assigned to him internally such as troubleshooting, remote activities, Help Desk services
Your Profile / Qualifications
The candidate has an excellent experience as a Service transfer technician for maintenances and/or modifications of plants in the Beverage field, he has a good management expertise of the service and of the job organization as well as of the mediation with the customers and with the company functions possibly involved. Besides, he has technical planning and evaluation skills of the service and he is able to analyze the customer’s needs.
The performance of the indicated activities requires the following skills:

- excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- excellent working teams management with a particular focus on the company’ “climate”
- dispute management and internal/external mediation skill
- excellent knowledge of the English language
- excellent basic mechanics/electrotechnics knowledge
- excellent knowledge of the Office package
Career paths, training and qualifications required
In general, the Service Mechanical Field Service Engineer the Service Automation Engineer requires several aptitude and technical skills. An industrial technical training/technical area degree are required.
