Responsabilities:
Achieve program goals ensuring optimization in the management of initiatives,
compliance with the roadmap, cost plan and budget.
Main Activities:
Coordinate and monitor a group of interrelated projects. Initiatives typically managed by program managers are:
- Complex configurable products are characterized by a certain degree of standardization, which benefit from an existing industrial system in which the supply chain is largely defined, and the industrial footprint is already structured to meet the demand. The complex configurable products need specific organizational or regulatory applications imposed by Customer requirements, they are offered in a multiplicity of configurations and sometimes they are ordered for the first time by a new customer;
- Complex developments and initiatives are characterized by a significant degree of innovation and / or a low degree of standardization and classified as top or primary according to the Management Complexity (based on technical complexity, multidisciplinary and articulation of the supply chain), Strategic Impact and Full Life Cost. These initiatives are organized in Integrated Project Team. (This list of projects type is indicative and for reference);
- Support Risk Managers to identify contract risks;
- Analyze clients requirements during the bidding phase;
- Evaluate the contract requirements to evaluate technical and economical feasibility;
- Define the High Level schedule based on contractual milestone;
- Define the High Level budget based on contractual requirements;
- Manage the advance provision activities to start purchasing processes in advance of the contract effective date (if needed);
- Identify the initiative cluster, based on Leonardo internal procedure;
- Request to create the Project/Program WBS;
- Organize the first project meeting to start the activities;
- Define the WBS structure, OBS and identification of the SoW to engage functions;
- Define the forecasting configuration for items without contract associated;
- Manage the advance provision activities to start purchasing processes in advance of the contract effective date (if needed);
- Define the revenues plan and perform the creation into the company tool;
- Support the analysis of contractual requirements;
- Define the configuration;
- Support the definition of the Integrated Project Schedule;
- Support the definition of the time-phased (cost planning) resources/material allocation and associated costs;
- Coordinate the project activities during each periods;
- Organize meetings with the project team to discuss project evolution/trend and Performances;
- Define corrective actions to guarantee the adherence to project plan;
- Organize meetings with the client to discuss project performances/criticalities or delays (PMR/SAL);
- Collect changes required by the client (if needed);
- Evaluate the new requirements to evaluate technical and economical feasibility Negotiate with client in terms of requirements and/or revenues expected;
- Support the update of the integrated schedule including new activities and milestones (including RfA/Delivery plan);
- Review Budget (related to financial aspects) and create a new baseline to measure the performance;
- Conduct internal dry run of the final System/Product/Service to verify the adherence to contractual requirements;
- Conduct dry run with the client (at Leonardo facilities) to verify the adherence to the contractual requirements (Factory Acceptance Test);
- Manage transportation activities (including certification management, schedule of the activities, packaging, …;
- Manage and coordinate the installation activities at client site;
- Conduct dry run with the client (at Client facilities) to verify the adherence to the contractual requirements (Site Acceptance Test);
- Manage the project closure activities (including WBS closure and economic plan closure);
- Monitor the post delivery activities progress to ensure the satisfaction of all the obligations and outstanding matters.
Education: Stem bachelor’s degree.
