Your Role:

As the Coordinator for CIP (Career and Internship Program) & AA (Academic Affairs) you will be responsible for supporting colleagues, faculty and students in all facets of Academic Affairs. Weekly tasks may change on a cyclical basis, as priorities for the Academic Affairs team change through different phases of the academic calendar.

As the CIP & AA Coordinator will support and assist in the constant development of Career and Internship Programs, including sourcing host companies, back-office tasks, and the organization of CIP-sponsored or -related events. In the study realm, the CIP & AA Coordinator will work with Academic Affairs staff to prepare and deliver a smooth program by assisting professors with classroom IT difficulties, and with reservations for field studies.

Lastly, as the CIP & AA Coordinator will also assist in the preparation and presentation of Reflections Abroad. To fulfill these responsibilities, the Coordinator for CIP & AA will ultimately report to the Director of Academic Affairs but will also follow directly from the AA and the CIP Managers.

What You'll Do:

Academic Administration

  • Contribute to Academic Administrative efforts including, but not limited to:
    • Syllabus preparation and updates within School of Record templates
    • Resolution of faculty difficulties
    • Assurance of proper functioning of classroom technology
    • Fielding student queries.
  • Assist in the training, support, and troubleshooting of faculty and students on CEA CAPA’s academic and learning support systems: Apollo, Canvas, Online UNH Library, Salesforce and classroom equipment/technology.
  • Work with Rome academic data with CEA CAPA’s online academic records program and website updates including course offerings, class schedules, course funds and fees, student and faculty accounts, student course preferences, course registration, add/drop, withdrawal, attendance and grading.
  • Disburse course fund monies to professors for site visits, guest speakers, field trips, etc. and ensure accurate expense reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of faculty meetings.
  • Participate in Academic Affairs meetings to stay abreast of policy and procedure changes, expectations, new systems, etc.
  • Serve as a representative of academic integrity for CEA CAPA and the School of Record for needs internal and external to CEA CAPA.
  • Be knowledgeable about and enforce CEA CAPA’s UNH School of Record requirements, academic policies and timelines.
  • Contribute to the local efforts required for the execution of School of Record or general assessment measures, including Self Studies (typically every 5 years) and the coordination of all accreditation processes and site visits.
  • Occasional proctoring of exams.

CIP Administration & Development

  • Utilise business development techniques, including but not limited to, lead generation, networking in the local community and portfolio growth to build and develop our partnership database, ensuring we have a diverse range of opportunities for internships and business consulting.
  • Facilitate experiential placements by matching students with appropriate host organisations, based on experience (academic and personal), interests, and goals.
  • Formulate position descriptions for students once their placement has been secured, and fulfill all necessary paperwork internal to CEA CAPA to confirm the student’s placement.
  • Oversee student progress, providing ongoing support and mentorship to help them consider their learning objectives for the program and achieve personal and professional development.
  • Maintain constant communication with DAA and CIP Managers to ensure local bureaucratic paperwork (convenzioni, progetti, CF attainment, registration) is completed correctly and in time for student internship placements.
  • Attend and contribute regularly to Global CIP calls to ensure Rome standards are in line with or exceed CEA CAPA’s CIP goals.
  • Keep abreast of local CIP competition and when appropriate, suggest improvements for CEA CAPA processes, requirements or features.
  • Remain constantly apprised of legal requirements of foreign student interns in Italy and ensure CEA CAPA’s Rome internship program works within these boundaries.
  • Collaborate with local and global CIP colleagues to advise and support CIP students throughout all phases of the student journey.
  • Program Support
  • Ensure that efforts to successfully perform the above duties serve doubly to consistently elevate CEA CAPA’s reputation within the local community.
  • Assist in the preparation for and presentation of academic-related events held at our facilities: Public Lecture Series, Business Consulting Events, CIP Events, etc.
  • Assist Student Services staff to lead co-curricular or extracurricular activities in Rome and in Italy.
  • Participate in Emergency Phone rotation and support student experience in general.

Qualifications

  • Laurea or Bachelor's degree in any field of study.
  • Fluency in English and Italian; authorization to work in Italy.
  • Knowledge of the city and its cultural offerings and learning opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience in forging and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Previous experience working with student internships abroad.
  • Enthusiastic about studying abroad and international education.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and Internet proficiency).
