Internship – Equipment Engineering (Taranto Production Plant)
Location: Taranto, Italy
Duration: 6 months – Full-time (40h/week)

About the Role
As an intern in the Maintenance and Equipment Engineering department, you'll support the full maintenance and continuous improvement of our production lines and equipment. This internship is designed to reflect the type of work you might do in a full-time engineering role after graduation.
You’ll be involved in both development-focused and operational tasks, contributing to the optimization, operation, safety, and sustainability of complex technical systems within a modern manufacturing setting.
Main Responsibilities

Support maintenance activities on production equipment, with a focus on electrical systems

Assist in analyzing equipment performance and proposing improvement initiatives

Read and interpret technical documentation and schematics (electrical/mechanical)

Collaborate on the planning and documentation of maintenance interventions

Work with internal teams and external suppliers for equipment servicing and upgrades

Support the use of tools like Excel and PowerPoint to prepare reports and presentations in English

Contribute to projects focused on safety, process optimization, and technical innovation
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree (ongoing or completed) in Engineering – preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or similar. Master’s students are also welcome

Technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems

Ability to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentations)

Good English skills, both written and spoken (minimum B1-B2 level)

Familiarity with AutoCAD® and/or SIMATIC STEP 7® (TIA Portal) is a plus
