This role in summary
Indirect Procurement intern will be introduced in the procurement process to support the team with mainly suppliers management, will learn policy and process applied in multinational organization and evaluates, benchmarks and negotiates the best solution with regards to Goods and Services required for our manufacturing plants and sales offices assessing them on the basis of a Total Cost Ownership (cost, quality, KPIs in place, etc.). Internal stakeholder alignment, supplier relationship management, including orders and contract creation and contract management are also part of the job scope.
This role is based in Cassinetta (VA), Italy with a hybrid way of working.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting supply management and Verification of documents in accordance with the policy,
- Managing contracts in the system,
- Purchase Requisition
- Supporting buyers in tender processes and on daily activities
- Monitor and promote compliance performances of the main stakeholders
- Evaluate, select, and benchmark suppliers, negotiate, and drive problem-resolution activities between Suppliers and Internal Stakeholders
- Define price evaluation for all assigned Services and Goods
- Drive Services Supply Base Assessment through an effective benchmarking process.
- Prepare, manage and negotiate package tender, in constant link with the internal stakeholders, generating significant productivity
- Identify and analyze basic commodity industry drivers to determine trends
- Lead problem-resolution efforts between suppliers and divisions
- Support data analysis
Minimum requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or degree in Economics, Management or equivalent
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google sheets
- Fluent in English, Italian language knowledge is a plus
- Availability: 40 hours per week (partially remote work possible),
- Soft skills: proactiveness, openness, communications skills, preciseness, teamwork, problem-solving, analytical skills
Preferred skills and experience
- International experience or experience in multinational companies would be a plus
- Ability to prioritize activities with strict deadlines
- Good communication and Teamwork skills
